When choosing Ozone clinics - Muscat for your orthodontics treatment , you will pass through these steps :
Step 1: Free Orthodontic Consultation and X-Rays
Our orthodontist takes detailed X-rays, photos, and impressions to assess your bite, tooth alignment, and jaw position. We diagnose the issues and discuss your goals.
Step 2: Treatment Planning :
Based on your assessment, the orthodontist recommends the most suitable brace type. You receive a complete plan including timeline, monthly visits, cost estimate , advance payments and installments .
Step 3: Bonding the Braces
At your fitting appointment, the brackets are carefully bonded to each tooth using dental adhesive. The arch wire is then threaded through and secured. This appointment usually takes 40 to 60 minutes.
Step 4: Monthly Adjustments
You return to the clinic every 4 to 6 weeks for adjustments. The orthodontist tightens or replaces wires to continue progressing your tooth movements.
Step 5 : Brace Removal and Retention
Once your teeth are perfectly aligned, the brackets are removed, and your teeth are polished. Custom retainers are made to prevent any shifting back.
What I have to do before, During and after my ortho treatment journey :
Before fixing my braces :
Get a thorough cleaning before braces are bonded
Treat any cavities or gum issues first
Stock up on soft foods for the first week
Get an interdental brush, fluoride mouthwash, and orthodontic wax
During my braces journey :
The first week feels uncomfortable as your mouth adjusts : soft foods help
Speak slightly slowly for the first few days as your tongue adapts
Use orthodontic wax on any bracket that irritates your cheeks or lips
Avoid sticky, hard, or chewy foods (gum, caramel, popcorn, hard nuts)
After finishing my treatment plan :
Wear your retainers exactly as instructed : usually full-time for 6 months, then night-only indefinitely
Keep up with twice-yearly cleanings to monitor retention
Some mild sensitivity is normal for a week after debonding
Avoid biting hard foods directly with newly aligned front teeth
